Always good to have a plan to get out of Dodge. I hope you stay safe. The footage is alarming. I have never seen anything like it in modern times.
I know of a GT500 KR convertible that was in Palisades and it did not survive.
Prayers to the owner and everyone slammed by this event.
Our prayers go out to all those affected.
Most collector cars in the palisades likely didn't make it.By coincidence I was very close to the point of origin getting ready to surf when it kicked off, watched the flames coming straight down the canyon and bugged out.Very windy, straight offshore, never saw a brush fire( and I have seen many)move that fast...A couple hours after I got home I looked up at the San Gabriel's and saw the initial plume in Eaton Canyon 2 miles away...smoke blowing straight toward my home by 75 m.p.h.winds.Scariest night of my life.I was lucky though, wind damage only.others....
Prayers are needed for the mass of people in this disaster. From my childhood I can tell you that not everyone is a "celebrity" with a house in Colorado or New York to go to. Most of these people are hard working folks who fight to stay in homes that have been in their lives for years. Insurance companies pulled out over the last couple of years and now....just like North Carolina hurricane folks they need to be given a hand. They are good people that got the wrong flip of the coin.

That hurts to see, so sorry for them. Can't even imagine what that must be like.
That really hurts so much, sad times for the LA Area I hope they will get the help they deserve.
So sorry for the owner...hoping there are brighter days ahead for you...God Bless
I have offered my help to the owner for anything he needs. I hope to hear back from him soon

Josh, thats a great thought. I dont have any experience with that.
Just curious how the insurance companys such as Hagerty and Grundys are gonna respond. Hope someone will post there dealings with the companies.
Good question, I will try to get some followup on that as well.
Going to come up with a plan, stand by...
Consider generosity until then
So sad to see that KR. The owner, as well as his wife are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Ill miss seeing that beautiful car driving up and down PCH.

Small detail.
That white top car is our good friends first black KR convertible, not the one he owns now.
Thanks for picking up Bigfoot. Feel so bad for our friends car. As you said, at least he and his family are alright.
Also, this got me thinking, I'm going to make some extra spare keys for the old cars and pass them out to one or two friends.
Granted this fire didn't leave a lot of time and others may be busy dealing with their own crap but it can't hurt.
Sorry, my mistake. The car posted was Bob's car. He sold that one and bought another black KR convertible. I have adjusted the pictures above to reflect the car that burned in the Palisades fire.
