Title: 1969/1970 Shelby Convertible Interior Windshield Header Panel Finish
Post by: nightmist67 on January 18, 2025, 10:53:24 AM
What is the correct finish for the header panel that runs across the interior windshield area in way of the sun visors?  Is it plated or painted, and what is the correct color?

its a odd plated finish was told unpolished chrome and we had them color matched power coated in the past since they are easy pitted.

I have heard it referred to by the plating people as satin chrome finish. The visor brackets and the header panel are that finish.

Bob is right: satin chrome.  It is a challenge to find a plater that does it well.  The British Columbia plater I used in the past no longer does that finish.

"Flash Chrome" is another term used.
