5S433 is coming up for auction at Mecum in Glendale. Curious how a "rebody" will affect the value of this car. Anyone have any experience? Have any sold like this? Looks like a very nice gt350...
A 'Rebody" will kill the value of any car especially a 1965 GT350 8)
This car has been or tried to be in at least 4 auctions in past few months.

True except... Barrett-Jackson pulled the car from their auction and it "never" crossed the block....

'Should', but these days you never can tell, and is why it keeps being rerun through the auctions, just looking for the "Big Fish"! ::)
Scott.
Howard Pardee told me, "Every Shelby has a value". Where would you put this one?
https://www.mecum.com/lots/1143367/1965-shelby-gt350-fastback/?aa_id=671170-0 is the link for those to refresh their memories. As far as value one would have to consider the overall condition . Putting the rebody issue aside, the condition of this car would not muster a bronze in concours from a historical standpoint based on what I see in the pictures. Every aspect of the cars condition looks tired. It would worry me with some of the restorations decisions made back when it was restored that what other issues would be discovered as improper that can't be seen in the pictures. It looks to be in nice upper driver car condition IMO if everything works and it runs and steers properly.

But if you consider things logically, accurately, a "rebody" in the manor of the Mustangs' unit-body construction means this isn't the Shelby vehicle it purports to be, rather it's a different car (Mustang) with 'some' Shelby "stuff" bolted on it! :o

Correct.... It is a "Mustang" with a Shelby Tag on it and purported Original Shelby Drivetrain.
Bid goes on at $120k
+1 on what pbf777 said
It's up to 265 in bid goes on. Which they should take and run... I guess there was one guy or people didn't want to show face and bid :)
I don't think a single Shelby sold at auction even though I thought prices were fair. I was not there to personally inspect
175 for a lime gold 67 gt500
157 for a survivor 66 auto
120 for a 68 gt350 4 spd air car
However restomods and Elenor's were strong.
More pictures of the body and trunk would be nice. Either way it's a "no-go" as a six figure car.
