Title: What are these original 67 Shelby fenders worth? They are rolled
Post by: GT500J on March 22, 2025, 07:31:48 PM
Came off our Shelby  . No rust on the fenders just surface , we believe it's the original fenders how do we tell? It's also rolled lip as well

The car came with brand new nos ford fenders so we used those instead

Those are Ford part numbers, indicating the fenders are service replacement parts.

Drake just uses the same part numbers

What does service replacement mean, so it isn't original to the car?

What are they worth? My dad wants to sell them

"replacement" means exactly that. Not original production line parts.
Shelby fenders 65-68 have no more value than any regular Mustang fender.
The problem with selling large bulky parts is the expense of shipping.
Check with a local Mustang club to see what they are worth in your area.
Rolling the lips was common practice as people started adding wider tires. The only Mustang that I can think of with factory rolled fender lips were the 69-70 Boss.

They are parts that were purchased from Ford after production ended.

All things considered they are probably in the $800-1000 range for each fender if you can find someone that needs them

Hope they go to someone who will put them to use.

Couple good discussions on 67 fenders here on the Concours Mustang website. To see the photos you will have to create an account and login...

Ok let me ask a question here. I have a right+left fender made from the original Ford Tooling and still in the box, some here maybe remember these were made some years ago. What are these worth? I have seen some that sold a while ago for something I couldn't believe.

Were 67 Fenders date coded like other years? That would be one indication on value. My 68 fenders the date codes are clear on the fender. I know being in the trade that depending on "breakage" and how good the die(s)were repaired would get you a part that may differ some from an assy line piece. 2 glaring examples are 67-8 rocker moldings and I know 69-70 Mustang bumpers that in 1981 were different than my assy line pieces when I bought a pair from my local Ford dealership(besides not having assy line date codes). I re-chomed my originals at a much higher cost.
