Any recommendations for replacing the 8.5" filter element?

Cobra Performance had a slightly taller K&M version.  Some old Fiat filters fit as well.

I was looking at these. They have an OD of 8.7" instead of 8.5". The filters are not in front of me so I was not sure if 8.5" is the OD of the element.

I'm also not sure if I can get that extra .2" to fit.

The way to fit the taller K&N filter element onto the carburetter without hitting the hood is to make a new base plate with a deeper dish and use the standard Stelling and Hellings chrome top.
