Hi guys. Need some help with identifying an original A/C under dash vent hose for my KR.
There are some on e-bay, but I'm not sure exactly what to look for. The reproductions look cheap and I would like to locate an original.
Some have a metal strip visible in the ribs and some don't. They also have, for lack of a better term, a 'leathery' look to them. I just don't want to get burned by someone passing off a weathered reproduction as an original.
Does someone have a picture perhaps of an original with the correct ends and length.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I did try the search, but didn't have  much luck.

                                     Thanks, Pete.

OK thanks Charles. I'll try to source out a used pad. I have a few Mustang buddies I can contact.
Any preference for aftermarket? CJ, Branda, National Parts Depot....
                        Thanks again.    Pete.

The firewall pad in my KR was missing when I got the car. It's a factory A/C car. Just wondering if someone could recommend a good replacement. I see a few different choices in the aftermarket.
            Thanks, Pete.

Not unusual in this case. Cars are driven before judging and in the case of a tie the driven cars will be given higher consideration than those not driven.

On the concours issue, I agree with Tim. Many of these cars are driven. In fact part of the requirement for judging at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is a 17 mile road trip through the countryside. And not just Shelbys and other cars of that era, were talking million dollar Duesenberg's and multimillion dollar vintage Ferraris.
Most owners enjoy showing their cars, but also enjoy driving them.

Did they actually sell? Remember, asking price is one thing, getting your asking price is another.

I agree. As I said this is the way I found it. No engine in the car at the time so not a whole lot of weight to support. I usually try and place the front stands on the frame close to the lower control arms.

Way Cool! This is how I found 04052. Air, 4-speed. Mostly original paint.

Great movie. Good cast including the late William Smith.

I seem to remember a story about a Boss 429 discovered in Mexico being used as a dog house.

  Agreed! lol  ;D
