I was ready to give up on mine until one day I had the car running with
The door open and when I shut it off the colomn popped up
That meant only thing wrong was lack of vaccum volume
Tore the repro can apart and siliconed the false lid to the can and added
An inline check valve and has worked flawlessly ever since

I don't know if anyone remembers but I found a gt500 behind a barn
