Yes, I know, but figured I'd try anyway. Have the repro already, but would much love an original. [OR]   does anybody know who could reproduce the pad?  I have the bar frame, but if the pad and clips could be replaced, that would be awesome. [I tried to get the company that builds the repro's to do it..they said 'nope'].  Pls PM me, or call.  Dave 614-519-5389.  Thanks!

Thank you all........I have emailed Kee and will keep you advised on what I learn.  As a sidebar, when I was researching vendors, I ran into this group:          www.aro2000.com       They make some interesting claims about history and originality.

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / convertible tops

I need to replace the white top, well-liner and boot cover on my '69 GT500. Hinged tinted glass, brass zipper on the original. Frame is fine. Have reviewed all posts here [and in Mustang forums] and found wide/varying viewpoints on what is the best product currently on the market. [Also, if anybody has one they aren't using, would love to talk]. Advice and input very much appreciated!  Thanks....

Appeals / APPEAL FOR GT500 PARTS
July 08, 2023, 01:28:37 PM
I figure I should probably post here as well. If you have 1969-70 GT500 items, please take a look at the "Wanted" section for more info on a list of tough parts I now need because they were lost in a storage-area fire. Car itself is fine, it was elsewhere, but I lost a lot of hard-to-find items.  Thanks to all members...

Storage unit fire destroyed most of my stored parts [car itself is fine, was/is at the paint shop, thank God] Advice/ideas very welcome. Seeking excellent OEM parts, if at all possible. [I know...but I figure I'll at least try and see what's out there]. Car is '69 vert. Need:  complete convertible rollbar.  Entire dash assy w/gauges. Center console - complete. Tinted windshield & door glass. Complete white knitted vinyl high-back interior, all seats, door panels & white plastic trim. Grill. Seat belts. Park lamps, complete. Complete smog system. Complete white top w/folding glass. Will be at SAAC 7/12-13 to see what's available. Pls PM me with responses, suggestions, etc. Live near Columbus, OH.  Also, many thanks to Coralsnake, Kerry Mc and Jesse B. for ideas and advice. Thanks much. Dave.

Hi folks........so I saw this thread and pulled some pictures that might be helpful. Three are of the wheels that came with my long-stored '69 500. The other is a single shot of a repro set I ordered a while back and received from Craig Conley last year. I'll leave it to Bob and Coralsnake to comment on all of this. I do think the glue line is visible in one or two of the pics.  I saved back the original wheels/centers because I plan to eventually drive the car a bit. The repro's, including the centers and lugs that I bought from Craig, they are very nice.

I have my originals but they need some work, so going fishing here.  Seeking nice units, both sides, to complete resto. Have glass and innards. May consider a 1970 OEM set.  Please call Dave  614-519-5389. Thanks...

OK, I went back and looked for info on this topic but it's too dated to "reply to", so here's a new thread.

I have the original "tabbed" hood molding for my '69 500 project, but it has some marks on it. Not bad but not great. I also have what appear to be original eyebrows, but they are not useable as is.  So the question, should I seek to have all three parts "repaired", and if so, where?  Or are there excellent replacement sources [repro or otherwise] that someone could recommend.  I read that Branda used to have some pieces, and also that Paul's Chrome was being used by some for rework, etc.  So like with my previous wheels question, I am asking for any advice on what to do and who to work with. All ideas would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks....

Just rec'd notice that auction is now open.  FYI only.

Hey, thanks. I thought that some were actually produced early in '70 and only a group of "leftover" '69s ended up in that process. Live and learn. Love the forum.....
