1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Avon tyres for 67

You reply to my original post 7 August 2022 with
'We have done at least three sets of AVONs for early 1967 Shelby Mustang clients. We used the same letter height as the original GOODYEARs and letter spacing.....the owners have been thrilled with the results. The best radial tires, with the early GOODYEAR logo'.
I have a set of Avon's presently, and I would like to know how I order a set as you have suggested above?

I have an early model 67 Shelby which needs new tyres. Is it the small lettering or large lettering that suits?

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Paint colours

Thanks JD, I'll question the guy that is respraying the bonnet, and patching the paint chips. The bonnet is fibreglass, so black. Is there any specific black, and is it gloss, semigloss or Matt?

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Paint colours
December 27, 2020, 09:52:46 PM
My 67 is Wimbledon White and has a Ford paint colour of 1619-A. This is not recognised within Australia and the Marti Report doesn't appear to have a paint code for the black underside of bonnet.
Need assistance with alternate paint code for Wimbledon White and also a code for the black underside of the bonnet.
Thanks Simon

Thanks for the replies, most useful. Yes, it is the hood (bonnet in Australia), and all glass. The hood had the bow in it when I purchased the car 12 years ago and imported it into Australia. The hood is always unlatched when stored. Will try the weight and Queensland has plenty of sunshine.

My 67 bonnet has a 1/2'' bow in the passenger side and a 1/4'' bow in the drivers side. Any recommendations in how to remove the bow?
