Longtime SAAC member William (Bill) E. Miller passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 91. He was recently diagnosed with tumors in his brain. Bill purchased his renowned black and gold 1966 GT350H in April of 1981 and immediately joined SAAC and the Colorado chapter. He became heavily involved in both open track event and vintage racing. He drove his car to several SAAC conventions and participated in the Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing Association. He was a proud promoter of the marque and of all the organizations he belonged to.
On the local level Bill served in several capacities as a CO SAAC rep, president, vice president and organizer of our four to six open track events we put on annually. His most recent outing with his GT350H was the Shelby American Collection party this past August.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his longtime companion Mary Sue Powell, Bill's two daughters and his many grandchildren.
Celebration of life events are pending.

Nicely played!

Inside the open garage door, looks like newer style posters on the wall, could the large one possibly be one printed and sold in the 80's?

Price lowered. Additional pics on request.
Thank you. Joe

Jeff, thank you for the in depth response and thank you Bob. You have both answered my open ended questions. Dave, thank you for your input as well. I just wanted to be totally clear in my mind as to what I have seen recently looking through a lot of on line pics of 65-66 GT350 undercarriages. I appreciate the prompt responses.

Jeff, thank you for the link. I believe you have answered my question.
So in most, if not all cases a early 66 GT350 should have the hump. Cars produced at SJ after the startup of 66 production would have a transition point. And a very late 66 GT350 will not have the pass through hump.

Thank you. Joe

This question is posed relating to the Ford VIN.

To be more specific...it would be highly unlikely that late SA Vin 66 GT350 would have the early "humped"
floor plan. Thank you Jeff for you willingness to delve deeper, but I do not have a specific VIN in mind at the moment.

Thank you. Joe

Is there an approximate date/VIN sequence of when the floor pans changed regarding the "hump" for the routing of the parking brake cables? This is regards to the cables going between the floor pan and rear frame rails versus later 66 cars whee the cable was routed under the frame rail.

Thank you. Joe

Also the knob on the shifter appears to be different than the stock version.

Quote from: SCOTTGTK on October 31, 2024, 04:44:29 AMAgreed shelbydoug... I'm happy to know what it is and know that it's a much older (maybe period correct) intake.
It's technically not period correct...just my two cents of thought

I have a pair of original sills with no cracks. The RH side is thinner plastic than the driver side and may be a service replacement judging by the screws and lack of rivets. These allegedly came from Walt Hanes shop when he closed. I will ship what you see. More pics on request. $450 plus shipping and insurance.
Thanks for looking.Joe  sfm17664@msn.com

Parts For Sale / 1966 1/4 Window Frames. SOLD
October 13, 2024, 03:27:33 PM
I have a complete pair of redone 1/4 window sills from 6S1370. They were stripped and analyzed, I honestly can't remember when I had them done. They have been on my display wall and I have no future use for them. They are NOT concourse quality, but driver quality. You are getting what you see in the pics: 4 replated trim pieces,4 used stainless clips, two original plexiglass windows that have been cleaned up but are not showing quality.$250 plus shipping.
Thanks, Joe. sfm17664@msn.com
