For the original emblems

GT 350 / GT 500 were flat, chrome and black with pins

GT 500 KR was chrome/ black with raised gold snake no pins

To determine if the original posters emblem is original we will have to measure the size of a known original

Good info that I didn't know.  Thank you Coralsnake!

There are (were) other companies producing these.

The reproduction GT350 and GT500 emblems typically have a raised gold snake which is not correct.

I dont think Drake was getting their supply from ACSCO

The picture of the Cobra Jet emblem in question looks to have the raised snake, (cannot tell if is gold or was gold on snake) when compared to the snake on the pic of the GT500 emblem I posted

I beleive this GT500 emblem is original.  I do not know if the lengths of the factory Cobra Jet to the GT350 or GT500 emblems were different.  Some pics for reference

Awesome can't wait to see it.  My father is a original owner of a 67 Mk 1A (with pentastar on pass fender).  I was born in 67, he got the Tiger just before having me and still has it in immaculate original condition.  I grew up with the roar of this small block Ford.

Its not every day when you get 3 of the 4 owners of 1341 together!  Missing in pic original owner who purchased Shelby from Tasca.  Current Owner, my Father on right.

There will be an "AE" with an upside down "A" cast just in front of the 1st lobe. Also typically has orange paint toward the front as well.

Hopefully someone will have a good photo, I don't have one handy at the moment...

Here are some hipo camshaft pics.

1st original hipo cam with the AE with the A upside down.

2nd 2 cams, top original, bottom 1980s Ford service replacement.  Both show orange towards distributor drive gear.

3rd 1980s Ford service hipo cam shows a K104 stamping instead of the AE.

4th.  Pic when I was comparing the 2 cams. The original AE cam shows alot of casting flash in between lobes, where service cam does not.

Both hipo cams produced same specs when processed on Cam Dr.

The repop proportioning valve worked.  I locked the piston in the distribution block prior to removing the original rebuilt proportioning valve. Replaced the valve and bled the rear wheel cylinders.  I actually had myself scratching my head for a second at one point as no fluid was coming out of the bleeder.  Yup, I starved the rear reservoir in the master only took about 3 good bleeds and dry!  Filled it up, bled off the master and then the rears.  All good now!

Bob, we were closing out this thread at the same time.  ;D

... and next to the Ford GT was a 1966 GT350 that also was still owned by the original owner and has been a rally car for most of its life, now having 190k miles on it!

Some more pics of the event
Next to our passenger side the winner of the Carroll Shelby Centenary class was a very nice 1966 Shapphire Blue GT350.  I believe it is known to have been a very early 66 and a 66 Shelby test bed vehicle thus the reason it was outfitted with 65 Cragars.

On our drivers side a very nice 68 GT500KR convertible.

Further down a 289 Cobra Sport shown by its original owner and has been restored twice by him.    As explained at show this 289 Cobra Sport has FIA type wheel flares, painted wire wheels and no side pipes.  The owner bought it new for $5100.

Next the Cobra a powder blue 65 GT40, beautifully restored.  This car took Best in show.  Then a 2006 Ford GT.
