1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / 1968 Bulb Sockets

Are there any suppliers of original style bulb sockets for the external lights (marker, turn, tail, etc.) without buying a repro light assembly?  I want to use my orginal assemblies and only need the socket.  Thanks

Wanted to Buy / WTB 1968 GT500 Side Scoop
June 07, 2024, 05:42:16 PM
Looking for a quality OEM passenger side scoop for my 68 GT500 Convertible. I've attached pictures of the driver side scoop (Lime Gold?) I have a poorly repaired or homemade passenger side scoop (Blue) that came on the car. If I have the wrong one for the driver side, then I'm looking for two scoops.

Bob are these still available?  If so, do you have more pictures?  Thanks

Guys, I appreciate all the feedback and knowledge.

Interesting about the spacer and maybe mine with the flapper is correct for my Feb 68 build date.
Now back to my original question. Are my cast numbers and dates correct for my early 68 GT500?  It seems they likely are from an older Galaxy or Fairlane. If I'm right I'll be looking for a correct set. Thanks

Thanks Pete.  Are the cast numbers correct?

My 68 GT500 (PI) has the following cast numbers on the exhaust manifolds C6OE-9430-A & C6OE-9431-A and the date codes are 6B3 and 6B2.  Are these correct?  The dates indicate the would be from a earlier Ford.

Also, did the spacer have the flapper?

Thanks

Cars For Sale / 1965 Sunbeam Tiger

Full disclosure - This is re-bodied car with a race history.  It has been titled with the current body and VIN tag since at least before 1984.  History before that is unknown.  Have a copy of the 1984 N. Caroline title, pics of the car in 1984 and with the race number prior to 1984.
Description: Total restoration including striping the body to bare metal.  Mostly rust free body and no evidence of wreck repairs.  The car is certified by STOA as an original Sunbeam Tiger body manufactured by the Rootes Group and Jenson Motors.  Currently has a rebuilt 289 dyno'd to 284hp at 4300rpm, Toploader 4-speed, 3:06 posi, 15" Panasport wheels, new interior, new soft top, and a mix of original and aftermarket parts.  Aftermarket hardtop that came with the car is included, plus take-off items.  Will include a data sheet with the videos.    It runs great and is a blast to drive.  The car has a clear Texas title and is in Cypress, Tx.

Thanks for the feedback.  Now the question is, where can I find a correct drier replacement or get the one I have reconditioned?  Also, I would like to know if anyone reproduces the manufacturer tags for AC compressors.  Thanks again.

The drier on my '68 GT500 has a paper label with part number C60Z-19959-B (see attached picture), but no apparent date code.  Is this part number correct for '68?  If so, where can I get it refurbished.  Thanks
