Amazing story, amazing person.  I'm sure this video only scratched the surface of what went on in Vietnam.
Thank you Rick.

Quote from: QuickSilverShelby on January 01, 2025, 09:03:27 PMSome people are just dip shits.  $300 for their original manual!  That's some of the best $300 ever spent.

And the people who don't want their original manual...... those owners are "special".

QSS

I suppose by your standards I'm special then. I wanted the original 68 owners manual for my car but was not willing to pay the ransom. He was a previous owner and had tracked me down through Mongo/Vinman . He offered to sell it to me and emailed a picture . The manual was in terrible condition with faded and torn half missing front cover and dog eared inner pages. I still would have paid 300.00 for it in a second if he had offered that because of sentimental value but felt taken advantage of when he said it would take 1500.00 to buy it. While thinking this situation over I looked at the NOS manual I had for the car held in my hand and the picture of the dog eared torn cover manual in the emailed picture on the computer monitor he sent and there was no contest . I was not going to be taken advantage of and pay a obvious ransom so I declined his offer.

Exact same situation I am in with the original manual for my 68 350.

Just some pictures what the status of this KR is right now. For this archive. Ha. Center console is allready outside the car but present. Power steering is missing. Hubcaps are there as well, I will not restore the car, but keep it as it is. Except for the PS which I'm planning to rebuilt.

Thanks for sharing the photos of a very cool car.  8)

Good luck with it and keep us posted on your progress.

I purchased a disc with them from WillyDog when he was getting AO Smith employees together for an event.

OH NO!!  Maybe that's why we haven't heard from him for a long time on here. I had no idea he wasn't well.
No this was sudden. He was absent because he was enjoying life. Prayers to Carol. I am speechless

Terrible but glad he was missing because he was enjoying life..... A message to us all.
