Rod thanks for asking. The later version is what I am looking for which matches the current original valance.

In need of a rear valance for my 67 GT350. Original is too bent up to salvage and would like to keep the car with original metal. It's the last thing left to get before paint. Send email to Audia4glover@gmail.com if you have one to part out

Lfino- Thanks for the additional pictures and details

Looks like I can capture what what has been presented do far and add a few more to the list of what might be referred to as the two rivet two piece style of lower side scoop or something like that.  Seems like these are maybe the last version of the functional lower scoops in 67 production.

Took some additional time to look for some more pictures of examples and now have 6 cars total by my counting. All built at SA (as listed in registry)  around 4/3-4/19 1967

Car Jeremy referenced is #1430 4/6/67
67-940     4/3/67
67-1427   4/5/67
67-1452   4/6/67
67-1453   4/6/67
67-1551   4/18/67
67-1187   4/19/67

Jeremy's car reference is #1430 4/6/67 to add. Please also note functional brake scoops. That also seems to be a disconnect between early and mid year cars.

Confused. Is this the way most were done?
1551

Jerry, assuming you still own 1551 and scoops never been removed? If so just another example of an April car with an altered production change by Shelby. Also can you confirm if you have functional brake scoops? The car Jeremy started is owned by my wife and I #1430.

Bob good questions and let be expand on the request. Being new to the Shelby forum and really shelby ownership I have tried to research these to death on both SAAC and Mustang Concours forum. I have found very little information on the lug nuts in regards to repo quality vice original comparisons nor anything around the allowance within DII judging. On the caps, I would like to stay original vice reproductions and understand the difference in $$$ between both. Also with caps I found more on the opinions between correct decals vice actual quality standards on the caps themselves. It's all who you talk to and what's accepted at that time. Bottom line I am trying to go DII and would like not waist money where I should not and spend where I should. Probably should have posted under the 67 Shelby thread but wanted to see what's available.

Wanted to Buy / Re: 67 Shelby Parts for 289
June 11, 2022, 10:28:30 AM
Thanks for the replies in forum and PM's. Build date was 3/14/67. Unless there are other opinions need first week of March or before back to January. Heads, if I remember correctly, for the C7ZE are not date coded like the standard 289 but you guys are mush more knowledgeable than me. Found an S2MS and will be picking up today as long as everything matches the picture and thanks to the "engineer".  JD is correct non-thermactor and if there is a standard for date, 30 days or more before build date, please let me know. Dmglover@sbcglobal.net for pictures please. Appreciate the responses!
