Dan rebuilt the rear shocks and either straightened or replaced the bent pin on one end.
We have now found a crack in the differentials clutch housing. I imagine it's a difficult part to replace and will have to weld repair and remachine it unless someone has one in their parts stash.

I use modern ones on my car.

Papa scoops reminded me of a story back in the day. Skinny Stan Hallinan RIP was a local legend and hot shoe here in NH. He didn't need a big block to scare his passengers. His 260 Cobra was fitted with a toilet paper holder back in the day for a ride Stan referred to as a "stainer".

Koni competition spec shocks have a threaded body and height adjustment. They also have a twist to turn adjustment for the shock. They were made specially for a Cobra application with a welded on bearing block on the rear lowers.

Welcome aboard. I assume you are referring to a C as a competition? They used the same chassis for competition, semi competition and street cars. I don't know where your dimensions came from but I don't see any that agree with anything I have on file.

I'm weighing my available options on window seal beltline sweeps felts replacement. There's a lot of terms used to describe these parts huh.
Also door and trunk rubbers and seals.
I've found Scott Drake, ACP, eClassics, Collectors auto supply, Steelerubber.
Have you guys used any of these and are they comparable to original quality and fit?

Sure.

The shock bushing install had to be done correctly, I ripped the end off a bushing before figuring that out. I programmed and plasma cut a plate which is effectively a modified washer to push the bushing in over the shaft. Good progress recently with the front end all selectively restored where necessary. The links to all the factory coatings and the write-up on them were invaluable.
The car is back on its wheels which makes them a lot easier to move. I think replacing the kinked and squashed fuel line is the next job. Those little twist clips look like an education.
The differential has some ugly additional welding on the axle tube and a rear shock with a bent pin on the same side. I'll post some pictures when they load.

Small block and big block cars had a 1/2" offset of the drivetrain to the right side for the reasons explained above.

Fuel cells have foam inside used as a baffle, they have a bladder or liner for the can, and they have gaskets between the filler and pickup plates. The ethanol eats the foam and puts it through your fuel system, it eats the bladder causing leaks and it eats the gaskets between the bladder and the can. Fuel cell manufacturers have limited or no warranty on the cells. They are good business for me, I make a lot of replacement tanks for the cells and some cells I convert to tanks. Good advice already on the additives.

I thought adjustable shocks were an aftermarket race car addition. These factory shocks are cool. They are FoMoCo marked and adjustable!

I can't find original spec FoMoCo shocks anywhere, they are all aftermarket. I certainly can't find parts for them. I was going to steal some rubbers out of a new pair of Monroe's but they are a different eye length and diameter so I doubt will work.

Trying to see if an image will go through. The top front shock bushings are a piece of cooling hose as can be seen by the twine reinforcing. Is that original spec or has someone got creative?
