NO matter what we all feel the price should be... The market has spoken and is continuing to climb. If someone will charge 50k to detail the bottom of a car, show them how you feel that they are number 1 in your book, CRAZY! ;D

Selling my 1967 Trans Am replica/clone or whatever is the catch phrase now a days. Been a Track days- Racecar for many years. Fresh 302 with typical day 2 mods. Cam, carb, headers straight thru exhaust, hydraulic clutch, performance clutch, big sway bar. It has had plenty of bumps and bruises in its time so panel gaps and alignment are not as original. There is nothing much original left on the car it has been highly modified for track use. It is somewhat of a tweener project... it could be brought back to street use with some time and $ or install a cage and get after it- Your choice.

I have a personal story to share about an Original 1966 Shelby GT 350 engine I removed from my car a few years ago. Engine was listed here and was offered up for the current owner to see and he had NO interest in it, thats ok no big deal. Many owners are willing to purchase anywhere from 7-10 times the amount of a standard 289 because it means that much to have the ORIGINAL engine back in their baby. A few chose to POO POO mine because it was painted black, a few chose to jump on the POO POO band wagon because it had an ORIGINAL COBRA dual quad intake on it and then there was one guy that said it had a FRAM oil filter on it ..... IMAGINE THAT! What some thought was way too much then, is just a drop in the bucket today! I believe my engine sits proudly on display in the FASTEST MAN ON PLANET EARTHS showroom! R.I.P. GEORGE- GOD SPEED!!!

Well I thought I would wait a few weeks to see if anyone had some input to the fastest Shelby from back in the day. Apparently, pics and info are as rare as a CHUPACABRA/BIGFOOT sighting. Seems the car went thru some changes as all the specialty performance cars that came out of Shelby American did. Good news is I dont need to adapt High Riser components to my existing set up. If anyone is good at locating vintage archival info on the Super Snake, a few of us would be very interested in its changes along the way! Thanks...

For more then 40 years I have read various articles on this car stating that it originally ran a 427 High Riser for maximum performance after its original anemic 335 horsepower 428 was removed by Mccain and the boys for its original owners the 2 airline pilots... that wanted to Drag Race the car. A High Riser would have been the first choice for that application No? The Thunderbolts already had a proven track record in Drag Racing so as I was told that it was a simple thought process not to put in a lesser Medium riser Version of the 427. Race cars were always evolving so what was run at this test or at that track may have been completely different then what first was used. I dont think anyone is still alive that would have personal first hand knowledge of how things were in the beginning of 1967 on that car.
