Some underside photos were added.
Do they tell us anything of value?

Gotcha.

(I added to the BaT thumbs ups for the underside pics.)

Thank you.

(I thought I remembered seeing speckled on your survivors page.)

I don't recall reading that it's been restored (just repainted), but doesn't it seem quite clean inside and under the hood for it not to be???

Interesting, about the differing vent windows.  Thank you Pete.

(continuing to learn about these...)

Is the big oil pan part of the cooling package?

Is that the correct trunk mat pattern?

Are uneven hood and trunk gaps just a given on (many? most?) '68 Shelbys?

Thank you.

The CarCollectorClub user on BaT posted the following on Bat:
185K for a missing vin number, registry wreckage story, and cracked block. I believe I would have let her ride.

I'm posting here to see if anyone has more info about the registry wreckage story.

The link is working for me.  Here it is "spelled out" in case that's useful:

And Wow!  Impressive document, thank you.
(also interested in one for '68 :-)

This post is me seeking to learn more about (67 and 68) Shelbys.

How should the red/orange primer parts look?  Does the answer apply equally to '68s?

It seems too glossy (e.g. photo 85).
It also looks like orange was sprayed over some uneven surfaces, and folks just stopped painting at odd places, like in photos 96 and 97 and 106 (no orange above the power steering components).
And there are different orange colors: 105.

Should my attention be elsewhere?

Thank you.

Thank you.

"Collector car auctions tend to skew prices upward. I have found that collector car auction prices are usually 30-40% higher than full retail values."  (Argh)

Yo to all.

I've been learning about 68 Shelbys and following auctions and want to thank you for your comments here and on BaT.  I'm attempting to figure out how I could possibly determine the value of any particular '68.   (Suggestions are welcomed. :-)

One would think that ICB33's latest comment on BaT would get the seller to jump to answer the questions.

Peace.
