This is now a shameless bump. I have more than the 60 Mustangs, Shelby Mustangs and specials (Holman Moody "Gas Ronda" etc.) for our Saturday HHI Concours Car Club Showcase November 2nd. Many MCA & SAAC members will be showing. 10 of the vehicles from Saturday will also be in the Sunday Concours.

A few days ago after a email from a well known SAAC and MCA judge & restorer, a light bulb appeared above my head: I do not have a SAAC MK 1 or MK II, Mexican or Shelby Europa, or a new 2022 GT-H (preferably a convertible, but will consider all).

If you have a SAAC Fox body car, A Shelby de Mejico / Europa or a newer Hertz car or know someone who does and want to attend this show, please email me.

Thank you.

We are currently looking for 40 + Mustangs for the Saturday Car Club Showcase event at the Hilton Head Island Concours to tell the story of 60 years of Americas favorite pony car. This will be a curated grouping of Mustangs from 1965 to present representing a variety of body styles, drivetrains & models (Shelby, Saleen, Roush, etc.)

We are also looking for a Docent with excellent general knowledge of Mustangs that could give a tour of the assembled vehicles. If you would like to be considered, or know of someone who you think would be a great choice, kindly let us know.
This year's Motoring Festival will be back at the beautiful Port Royal Golf Club in the heart of Hilton Head Island. You will enjoy the venue and the events we have planned for the 22nd Annual Motoring Festival. Given the success of past events, we expect a full field this year and extra car spaces, if any, will likely be limited.

The Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival, honoring rich tradition with southern flair, will curate a rare collection of automotive delights set against a distinctive Lowcountry backdrop that can only be found here.
Since its inception, the nationally recognized Hilton Head Island Concours has continued to elevate every aspect of this unique Lowcountry lifestyle event into an art form.

Our website, www.hhiconcours.com, provides full details of the Car Club Showcase and the numerous other events, including our flagship Concours d'Elegance, occurring during the multi-day Motoring Festival on Hilton Head Island. The Car Club Showcase registration fee is $95 per vehicle and includes two-day admission tickets (Saturday & Sunday, November 2nd & November 3rd) for two people per registered vehicle, and lunch for 2 on Saturday – a greater than $300 value. As in the past, we are requiring a picture of each vehicle applying for entry, and registration will not be complete without the receipt of a fully completed Application Form and photograph. The registration period will be open through July 1 after which registration will be closed and unfilled slots will be forfeited.

The Car Club Showcase Team is looking forward to seeing you at this year's Car Club Showcase for our 60 years of Mustang and the other wonderful exhibits during the weekend. If you have any questions, or would like to submit your vehicle for consideration, please contact Michael Chludzinski (contact information below) or Angie Noye, the Exhibitor Concierge, at the Motoring Festival Office: (843) 785-7469 ext. 4.

Thank you, and safe driving.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: Fake 1966 on VMF

The original 6 s 1967 was on Long Island back in the 80s, owned by a Friend, Bruce L., he passed and it was in his funeral procession, full on pouring rain IIRC.
Son inherited it, a legit Early Hemi Charger and some other stuff. I have not heard anything about it in the last 20 years.

Anyone on the Forum planning to attend? Besides the cars of Italy, one of this year's themes is American Power & Ingenuity. In addition to a few AC's, there will be several Cobras, a GT 40, and Quite a few Shelby Mustangs & Boss cars During the 2-day show. Here's a link to the event information:

I'll be there. Judging on Sunday. This should be a great event.

FYI,  the Hilton Head Island Concours Car Club Showcase (Saturday November 6th) is looking for more representation in our Saturday "American Power and Ingenuity" class. Only have a 500 KR representing Shelby so far.

PM me for more info.

I believe he is indicating plastic plugs for access the bolts, not plastic plugs in the manifolds.

Wow, it was always a pleasure to work with, or just chat with Jim. A huge loss for our community.
God speed.

So, if this is dropped in any mailbox, was a postal employee supposed to then send if off with a request for payment by the recipient? I have collected a lot of stamp and USPS memorabilia over the years, and was a subcontractor to them as well, yet I have never seen a form for this type of transaction.

SAAC 45 because there has not been a SAAC 45 yet. So where is it going to be/

I vote for a less prestigious track. So it can be a stand alone show instead of piggy backing the SVRA. That way we can have more track time. Possibly even less money. Have better place for pits instead of the SVRA having the better, closer pits.

Recent acquisition by new owner, full course repaving under way, a bright future for a 2.27 mile road course.  8)
