Wow-I had no idea.

As a former Ford Field Manager I highly recomend the Ford ESP Plan ONLY.  The reason is all Ford dealers honor it and if you have an issue, you can at least apeal it to the Ford Zone Manager.

Hi Dave-this really isn't the forum to get info on 'newer' Shelbys. The 2007 SGT came from the factory with the tire inflator kit and the inflator canisters are no longer available. You can get a full size spare, but I believe some have had an issue with it not fitting correctly in the tire well as the particle board cover will not fit flush. I just carry an aftermkt 'inflate a spare' cannister. Best to check Team Shelby site.

Had St Farm and they wouldn't give me agreed valuse for my '07 SGT, so I jumped to Hagerty. Compared Hagerty to Grundy and Heacock and in Carmel, IN, Hagerty was &400 to $1,000 less expensive.

When I lived in the People's Republic of Chicago I had AAA Premuim coverage and they were great. My CSX Cobra broke down twice and they towed it home once and to the shop the next time no questions. I now live in America (Indiana) and have Hagerty Driver's Club which has 100 mile towing for less than $100 a year. Thank goodness I haven't needed towing so can't comment on their responsiveness.
Regarding door dings, I've shown my cars at a some higher end events and always stand between me and the people with dogs, strollers, coffee, big watches and cigars. One stroller welding, coffee holding, dog on a leash lady got her shirt all wadded up under her arms as I follwed her around my Aston Martin. Her comment of 'I'm not going to hurt your fancy car' was met with "I know your not."  I call car show damage "avoidable accidents" and don't mind if I offend folks who don't respect other people's property.

Had the pleasure of meeting Chuck a few years ago at Laguna Seca during the historical races.
He signed my poster and invited me to sit down and talk. As a former Ford Field Mgr in the LA district during the 1980's, we knew poeple in common.  He was also inquisitive about the 'modern' 2006-2010 Vegas modified Shelbys.  Throuoghly enjoyed our 20 minute conversation-happy birthday to an outstanding guy.

Call Shelby Vegas.  Beleive they all started out as CA specials before Shelby mods.

CA, MI, TX, NY have the highest collector car population in the US.

Agree CA is a communist state, but I'd be surprised if they stopped doing business in the state.

Be interesting to see if this really happens as others have tried this the last 15-20 yrs.

Having lived in Huntington Beach (1985-1988) when working for Ford Division, it is always fun to watch Adam 12 and Dragnet.
Good fun to see the 'old spots' and fast cars.  Peyton Cramer was one of my dealers and he had some nice black n white pictures in his PV showroom of the 'old days.'

Never knew! Very interesting and maybe where he made the contacts to request Chevy engines for Cobras before approaching Ford?

It is my understanding that experimental chassis 'glue' broke free (due to vibration) causing the Miles car to break apart.  Heard this years ago from a (now) deceased FOMO race photographer.

2006-up Shelby GT/GT-H / Re: Did you know ?

Very cool bit of info.
So unless the post-Hertz owner of a 2006 GT-H recalibrates the engine, it has less HP than the 07-08?
