Wanted to Buy / Re: 1968 Engine oil cooler

Good even, quite the discussion over my want to buy request.
Mr Gaines, I appreciate your advice and it is well taken.
Fortunately this search started with Mr Disher and his wonderful web site and this forum, both are a wealth of information.
Hopefully a heat exchanger will come along sooner then later.

Thanks, Mitch

As always gentlemen I appreciate your input.
I did try a test panel yesterday with Nason chassis black and it's a little to deep black.
I will give the Sem and ppg products a try.

Thank you, Mitch

Good evening folks, can someone please tell me what color black Ford used in its engine compartments in 1968?

I have tired Eastwood's chassis black which is close but not quite right.

I appreciate, Mitch

SAAC Forum Requests / Float bowl repair
April 13, 2021, 10:14:48 PM
Good evening folks,
I have a 68 GT 500KR that Spit the needle and seat out of the rear bowl of the carburetor.

It could have been catastrophic, thankfully it happened in the driveway with the hood up.

After removal and disassembly I found that both bowls have flat to junk threads

                              for the needle & seat.

My question is does anyone know someone who can safety repair these bowls?

                              Thanks, Mitch
