Here's the ad:

DESCRIPTION
Verified by the Shelby American Automobile Club, this iconic Shelby, no 5S227 is one of the 562 built and one of only nine dealer prepared drag race cars of the model year. It was first raced by Mike Gray for it's original owners, Reynolds Ford of Syracuse New York and was given the name "Super Horse"

"Super Horse" competed in both drag and road racing events for over 40 years; it has an authentic and significant racing history. It has also been featured in numerous articles and books over the years. Detailed history and documentation will be forwarded on request.

In 2011, Cobra Automotive of Wallingford Connecticut, fastidiously restored the Shelby for it's new owner and it was superbly finished to it's original race livery. It has not been raced since then.

The new owner imported the newly restored Shelby into Australia in 2012. It was purchased by Ian Cummins in 2015 and has remained part of his cherished collection to this day. During it's time in Australia, it has been used for display purposes only, attracting much attention and admiration. This wonderful motor car has a striking presence, both on a showroom floor and at any historic motoring event.

I grew up in Garden Grove, CA. We had several enormous slot car tracks biking distance—so big the cars would run up and around the ceiling and fall onto nets where you retrieved them with hooks on broom sticks when they de-tracked. I have my Cox controller and a split window Corvette my father built with copper welding rod for the frame—way too valuable to ever loose—wonderful days of youth...

On one hand—some good car do sell at auctions—on the other hand—all bad cars sell at auctions...

Good luck.

I think you should probably sell that car. You'll just be disappointed with any optional cup holder. In fact, I'm looking for a 1965 gt350.

Veeeerrrryyyyy NNNNIIIICCCCCCCEEEEEE---

I did the same thing yesterday in 6S2148. I felt great for hours afterwards. Such amazing machines aren't they. In stopped in a True Value hardware store in Los Alto, CA where I had seen a photo back in 2016 on the wall behind the cashier of two guys standing in front of a Blue 1966 GT 350 with white stripes. I excitedly asked about it; the cashier said "That's Mike's Shelby. Mike works here and is going to keep it until he is ready to retire --then sell it to fund his money for retirement. I thought it might be a 1965 which I would like to purchase. Anyone know of an original well documented one 1965 GT 350 for sale-- not at an auction house?

Mike wasn't there yesterday so I left my contact information with the manager Kirin. Kirin said he would pass it on to Mike when he cones in next week. I might find some fun!

Apparently Mike sent his Shelby to Nevada somewhere to get it painted because in Nevada they can still use good lead based paint instead of water based paints.

Further bulletins as news warrantees.

Guys—

Is what Matt is selling the center section for the rear end that is the limited slip mechanism that a 1966 GT350 owner could have purchase around that time?
