Are there any photos that show details of how the trunk divider board and trunk well liner are finished, sewn together, and installed on a 1969 Shelby/Mustang convertible?  My car is missing both items.  I have a reproduction trunk well liner and a reproduction trunk divider board (unfinished) with installation fastener kit.

I am searching for a reputable convertible top installer in the Maryland/southern Pennsylvania area for my 1969 GT350. The intention is to install a convertible top made by the original supplier to Ford (ARO), not Kee or Easy-On.

What are the correct colors, pattern and end fittings for an original 1965 GT350 lug wrench tie down bungee cord?

Are suggesting that I not install any inspection stickers since there is a lack of documentation regarding the specific inspection stickers used and the locations where they were applied for the time period when my car was built?

Based upon the photos provided so far, is it appropriate to conclude that there were no specific directions regarding the locations (e. g., the "B" inspection sticker located on either side of the firewall) and orientations (e. g., the "B" and the "T" inspection stickers applied upright and upside down) of the inspection stickers?

After reviewing the photos here and those engine bay photos in recent Shelby Mustang books, I occasionally see the "F" inspection sticker, but I have seen no photos showing placement of the "E" inspection sticker.  Can anyone provide comments/photos about those two inspection stickers and their respective placement on the car?

The car was built in late December 1968 if that has any bearing upon the specific letters, colors and locations of the inspection stickers applied to the firewall.  Any images that show the firewall for cars built around that period would be helpful.

Are there any drawings or photos that show the proper placement of the inspection stickers that are applied to the firewall?

What is the correct snake emblem for the rear fenders on a 1969 GT350 convertible?  Is it the C9OZ-16228A adhesive-backed snake emblem that is typically listed on eBay?

Ultimately, how wise a decision it is to go the full concours restoration route on any vehicle as an investment depends upon how much a potential buyer is willing to pay, less your initial purchase price of the vehicle and its subsequent restoration costs.  Since the value of any collectible is fluid, your car may not necessarily be worth what a similar car reached as its hammer price at a recent B-J or Mecum auction.  One can easily find oneself in the negative range of that equation, which is dependent upon the general structural, mechanical and cosmetic condition of the vehicle at its starting point, as well as whether or not it retains any of the parts that are unique to that year, make, and/or model.  To echo earlier comments, you could, for example, spend relatively modest money for an exhaust system from NPD for a roadworthy ride, or you could spend several thousand dollars for one of Scott Fuller's concours exhaust systems.  From an investment strategy, then, your decision what to do would be driven by how you want to sell the car:  do a quick flip or play the long game.

Concours Talk / 1969 Shelby Hood Hinge Question
November 27, 2023, 11:59:24 AM
My 1969 GT350 was built in late December 1968.  During the restoration process we discovered that it has 1967/1968 style hood hinges installed on the car.  Are these hood hinges correct for a car assembled in that timeframe, or were they likely a replacement installed by a previous owner?

Does anyone have recommendations for a reputable rebuilder for Autolite 4300 carburetors?  I had mine rebuilt recently and it came back a leaky mess.

Up For Auction / Re: 5S305 - Bring A Trailer

Somewhere in the history of my 1965 GT350 not only were the T-10 transmission and spare tire shelf replaced with a toploader and fold-down seat respectively, but the standard interior was replaced with a pony trim interior.  Back in the day these cars were not necessarily recognized for their rarity or uniqueness; they were just another disposable vehicle.
