Should a car built on March 24 have the bracket under the spare tire for the space savor bottle? Did early cars not have the bracket? If so a transformation time frame for the brackets appearing? Thanks.

That helps. Thanks. Car in question is a pretty nice #1 quality restored car albeit some resto mistakes but metal looks good.

Have one car close to the time period discussed in this thread so far. Unrestored with no panel replacement,  it had the bracket and it was built at Dearborn on April 2

1584, a March 31st 69 built car did not have the bracket. On the SAACforum 1.0, there was a long and detailed dissertation on this including stripping the area down to bare metal to show no older, or removed welds for the same.

The ss bottle bracket was a 69 boss 302 part since they all used f-60-15 tires and then the 69 shelbys started to get that bracket installed  sometime early april. This bracket was first used as part of the boss 429 SS bottle bracket spot welded to the flat 4 bolt in J-hook plate bracket that mounts under ss tire on lh side trunk floor.
