So I finally after 2 months had time to take my dash assembly out. Since I never found a 68 build sheet I wasn't aware how "little" they were after they were folded up. First pic I didn't even notice in the car that the build sheet was hiding under the wiring harness. Yeah, I was excited when I got it out and unfolded it to reveal how well it survived over 56 years being there.

I'll bet that was a pleasant surprise.  It is pretty well preserved.  Are you going to try to remove the black tape?

At this point I'm taking the advice of Pete and just cutting the tape back. Phil has used BrakeKleen to remove the tape but had practiced a few times on useless build sheets. Unless I see a you tube video of someone doing it at this moment I'm leaving the tape on. So I now have a copy of the original title, original bill of sale, owners manual, build sheet and the Marti report. Gary

Cool find.  It is a pleasant surprise to find one and in that good of condition.  I remember finding one page under the left side rear passenger carpet when I disassembled my '67 in 1987. That was the only page I found.

I can not see it in the picture. Would love to find mine. Where exactly is it?

2nd pic left of the steering column is a "C" bracket and a gold hex bolt holding the harness down. Look at the top of the harness and you can see the build sheet to the right of the bracket but a tiny portion of it.

Got it. Thank you. I will look there for mine. Never know.

I think having the build sheet is the best documentation to have. Great find and in really nice shape.

i used wax&grease remover on mine. soaked in a cookie sheet. worked great on the one i found under the carpet.  i'm not sure it would remove old tape.  great find
