I believe there was a topic on this awhile back .
So I have a set with blue dots on them.
What i want is another set for some street tires .
For the front I will stick with the standard size.
However for the rear I want a bit wider as they can make other sizes.
So the question is anybody done 8 inch ? Or larger. Any issues with clearance with
Wellwell?
Possibly change backside offset?

Dominic, call Craig Conley At Paridise wheels he will know how much you can go front and back (think R model) plus he is the one to build some for the rears with wider rims.

Depends on if you want to roll the fender lips. Jim Wallace ran 8" steel wheels on 5020 at Willow. They had different offsets front and rear. You might be able to run 7" rear and 6" front. Beyond that you'll need to roll the lip. Don't get too close to the rear springs. Remember what happened to Donahue's Firestones with his cheater wheels......

Been running 15 x 8" PS Engineering Wheels, on all 4 corners, for over 15 years'
Yes, my fenders are rolled because, that's what I like and have no clearance issues.

I have a 15x7 with 3.75 backspace on my '66 tribute car running a 225/60 tire front and rear. Fenders are not rolled. Only a slight rub on the fronts under certain situations. 215 would not rub at all I shouldn't think. Every car is a bit different however.

Hey Dominic,

Earl here (NorCal SAAC). It's been a real long time since SAAC 35. I'm now up in Northern NY (mostly) these days. I keep threatening Dan R. I'd show up at one of his meetings down in the PA area.
Anyway, I special ordered a set of PSE (Phil Schmidt) 5 of his 1 piece TA wheels way back when.
Phil recommended the same 15x8 with a 4 3/8" back spacing which I did. He ran the same exact rim on all four corners on his 65 if I remember without having to touch the lips.
He mentioned the only concern was the front corner of the front fender may catch depending on how much the car is lowered. He pointed out the 4 3/8" unlike the AR (American Racing) 15x8 with a 4.5" BS Torque Thrush D's that will contact the upper ball joint. Most after market upper A arms have the corrected upper ball joint angle (Open Tracker, Cobra Auto. etc).
The only difference with the 15x8's I ordered was I wanted the fill valves on the drop wall not in between the spokes.
As Bob G had mentioned a conversation with Craig Conley is your avenue. Typically a conversation that Craig doesn't openly advertise.
My thoughts are considering another a set of 15x8 w/4 3/8" or 15x7's w/4 1/4" back spaced 65 Cragar styled rims through Craig.
