I'm in search of the fitting that attaches to the front caliper and the rubber brake hose.

The rubber brake hose has a fitting made into the hose but there is no other fitting. Are you confusing the bleeder valve for a fitting? There is a copper crush washer that fits under the brake hose.

It is a fitting that screws into the caliper (or is part of the caliper). The brake hose screws into that piece.

The fitting issimilar to the pictures but shorter. It was probably changed when the car was restored in the early 80's.Do you know where I could find a pair of those?

Can you be more specific because the quad picture shows two different areas.

It is the piece between the caliper and the brake hose (seen in the upper right picture). Sort of looks like an inch long tube.

That portion is part of the rubber brake hose. It is all one piece. If yours is shorter then it sounds like a aftermarket replacement with the rubber cut or broken off. NPD sells a reproduction of the original. https://www.npdlink.com/product/hose-front-disc-brake/168001   .

Thank you. That's what I need. I ordered a pair from Branda and the end that goes to the caliper is completely  different and would require an adapter.

Is the end of the hose smaller than the port on the caliper?  If so, you have 67 calipers.

To clarify the 65 to early 67 used a 3/8 fitting hose and the majority of 67 production used the larger 7/16 hose. The calipers are identical just the fitting size was different. What with production numbers of 65-67 Mustangs with front disc brakes there are more 3/8 fitting calipers out there then 7/16 calipers so the chances are good that 6T6SHELBY has the correct 3/8 calipers. Worst case situation if some later calipers were switched out on the car at some point then the simple solution is install the 7/16 hose and once installed you can not tell the difference between what the calipers look like.
