Our local Mustang club in NJ was still using a simplified judging sheet like that 10 years ago when I was last at a show there.  ;)

If i remember correctly Steve Yates RIP  wrote the first judging sheets for our IN SAAC brown county shelby meet back in 78 and it was used at SAAC NATS show back then and  we had many updates and changes and adding points to make it more fair for all makes of shelbys  boss cobra gt40 etc over the years. So what year did saac nats start judging cars 76 77 or 78 as i went to first saac nats in nj great gorge ex playboy resort if i remember correctly and was asked  by steve yates to judge the boss class.

He talked me into doing the 65-66 GT350s. What a bunch of whiners - I decided right then I didn't like the sport of chasing restoration/show trophies and to never do it again. Joyce asked me again several years later and I felt bad but still declined.

At Hershey Fall Meet a few years ago I was going for my AACA Junior Award and a question about the size and placement of the outside mirror. There was much discussion and they asked if I had any documentation. I looked overt and saw Chuck Cantwell a few cars away. He is an AACA Judge and I asked him to come over to verify the mirror. He comes and over  says, "Yep, that's it"  Got my Junior Award. Nothing like having the original guy verify something.
The score sheets and detail they now go into is nothing short of amazing. The Devil is in the details and Satan himself couldn't make them perfect .
Owned since 1971, NOW DRIVEN OVER 250,000 MILES, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎
