Any suggestions for a reliable repro fuel sending unit?
Application is for a 69 3/8 line.
Are the stainless steel units any good.
The big Mustang suppliers list several for the same application and it is confusing.
I'd like to hit on the best unit whether stainless or not.

Thanks,
TonyS

Bill is a good guy. Local to me so it was a win win to have him restore my sender..

I have heard High praise and intend to use him in the future however if you don't have a usable original core that can be made presentable to start with his service will be of no use. Sorry I do not have a good read on the repro market otherwise I would make a suggestion.

Sometimes Bill has a usable core in his inventory of parts. You just have to check.

I bought the best one Virginia mustang sells for the 69 mustang.  There are 2 problems with it that I fixed and it now works great.  One, throw away the sock that comes on it and replace it with a nos ford sock.  The repro sock interference fit is too loose and it will fall off into the tank otherwise. Two, it reads empty on gauge with 6 gallons still in the tank.  Using an ohm meter bend the float arm down so float is even to bottom of inlet sock.  I pulled my sender twice to adjust it so it reads accurately.  I put 5 gallons in and got it to read 1/4 using this method.
