Yes...for sure a picture is worth a thousand words.  Thanks everyone for their input and suggestions.  May as well post a photo here of the working fog lights.  Added another 50 miles on the car yesterday.

Guess I better go and open mine up to check it. Probably won't be putting the car back together for another year (if I get out of Paint Purgatory) but at least I can eliminate 1 problem ahead of time. Another instance of 1 discovery helps many people. Thanks to everyone involved!
