Clean electric vehicles? I think not.

There are 3 branches of the Church of Gargantuan Government (CGG for short)

Climate Change
Income Inequality
And now BLM

They have different topics of concern (and some legitimate beefs) but their core objective is the same.

We are in a transition period currently. Electric vehicles will inevitably displace gasoline power. The manufacturers are increasing battery range and lowering recharge time. Gasoline will eventually phase out like steam power no denying it. Right now we have low gas prices to enjoy our toys but for how long? In Illinois the wind farms have exploded between Bloomington and the Wisconsin border. The UAE peace deal is a realization in the middle east of whats coming. Our coal here in central Illinois comes from Wyoming (low sulphur) and is scrubbed at huge expense. We may look back at this time and regret we didnt drive our cars more. Tell me Im wrong. I just dont know how long it will take to change over completely. My magic 8 ball isnt reliable.

My crystal ball (Shelby limited edition) says that in less than ten years we'll all be lamenting how good we had it with our beloved cars in 2020.

I'd stockpile gasoline if I could figure out a feasible way to do it.  Buy an old gas station?  Install huge underground tanks somewhere hidden from everyone?  That's do-able. But how to keep the fuel fresh for any prolonged period of time is the big problem.

One day...hopefully after I'm six feet under, our Shelby cars will just be furniture.  That's not a world I want to see.

I'm shelving my Sunday plans and will instead take the KR out for some rubber burning and octane guzzling.  Sure hope I see some smug Tesla drivers when I'm out.

Thats the spirit, and your less than ten years prediction has prompted me to dust off some Chevys starting tomorrow. Its a feel good thing and it makes me happy.
