Found some old pics of this car when I owned it back around 1988. I bought it from Hap Hargrove in Ardmore, AL for $10000. Sold it about a year later to Pete Geisler at Orlando Mustang for $12000. Car had a single 4 barrel intake (the C7ZX dual intake was in the trunk when I bought it.) It was painted black instead of Dark Blue. It had smooth seat inserts. It also had 14 inch Magstars - not sure where they came from.

Love the vintage photos of your 67.  Yea, I met Pete about 15 years ago at an MCA show in FLA.  Cool guy, he had some parts set up at the swap meet part of the show and I bought a few items from him.

More '67 Shelby photos...THANKS!  :)

#01865 was for sale in 2009 at RM Sotheby's painted in red. (only one photo of the car was found)

The smooths seat were likely re-upholstered or swapped, based on the DSO group. Should have been comfortweave from the factory.
Maybe the 14" Mag Stars were Sears replacements. Downsizing rims is unusual. Nice white walls.  ;)

Also, Sports Car Market for Jan 2010 reports a sale again in October 2009 at Mecum.  Unfortunately, the Mecum link does not verify the VIN.

Was it an A/C car originally?

NICE, JEFF!!!
THANK YOU for posting both links and the photo of it from SCM confirming the Mecum auction!

2112;
Shelby VIN indicates a 410F package = GT500 auto, NO air, NO emissions.
It must have been added about the time it was repainted in red. MGREENE photots show a standard dash.

The Registry notes the car having 10-spokes, but all three timeline photos show Mag Stars.
The SAI PO likely shows the Shelby box marked for wheels and this was a dealer or past owner swap.

+1.  Sears sold Kelsey Hayes Magstars over the counter.  In all sizes.   Make sure you check the bolt pattern before buying so you don't pay premo for Brand X wheels.

There's the smooth seats you mentioned.
Flat tail light panel and a stamped rear valance. Those are probably correct for the Ford build and SAI completion dates.
Thanks again for sharing
