350 doesn't have adapter plate on trans like 500. Typically I see the 350 clip on drivers side rearmost top cover bolt. Jack's repo is technically the 69 version. 68 very similar but slightly longer side leg
Tim,

This location makes more sense to me since my transmission did not look like the one in Pete's post or the one shown on the Dead Nuts On website as far as the forward shift mechanism bolt hole location goes. My forward bolt hole is tucked in closer to the mechanism basically covered by the lower shift boot.

I have 3 more questions:

1) The Dead Nuts On website says "For 1967-1968 Mustang/Shelby, you will need 2 wire harnesses. They get mounted into the first and last screw holes on the top of the transmission cover. They are installed with the bracket facing the top of the tunnel." There seems to be a disagreement as to whether to use 1 or 2.  Is there a consensus here on how many to use?

2) Which bolt hole locations shown in attached photo should be used for the brackets?

3) These look kind of tall, if they are mounted in this/these location(s) facing up do they really clear the trans tunnel?  I looked under my car and there just does not look like there is that much room?

Hi Corey. Your transmission will not look like the one in 'Pete's picture or Jack's website because it is not a big block transmission that uses the adapter plate therefore does not have the extra hole in the front of it
I have only seen one used on a 68 small block transmission. And it would go under the bolt that you have marked number three
