The Scott Drake line is showing repro alternator belts for this application.

It's showing a C5AE number as correct but lists a C6AE for 68 and 69 cj's, but isn't mentioning dual belts?

Do any of you know the right part numbers for this?

I wouldn't think that the od variation on these dual groove pulleys are going to matter but I want to get this right the first time.

I ordered new belts last year from Marti works.  One was just a little longer than the other and I had to send them back.  This is what the sent me and they work good.

The correct belt are designed to fit so that the adjustment bolt is approximately in the middle of it's range of adjustment in the slot. Sometimes the Marti belts will do that and other times too loose or too tight.

So it is the opinion that the correct belt numbers are C6AE-8A615-A?

Check the add/delete sheets for the given model with called for accessories.

So this isn't a general answer for all non-air GT500's? It's specific to the car and varies?

FYI, I inquired with Dave M about this. What he said was "the delete sheets are the 7 page sheets that relate to specific groups of cars by DSO. I haven't noticed 'belt' numbers on them."

So if I'm misunderstanding your comment, what specifically should I be looking for on those sheets that would answer the question about the alternator belts? I am but a humble grasshopper Sensei.

What exactly is a C7SE-8620-A belt?

Yes, the belts are identified in at least some for the add/delete DSO sheets no doubt for the reasons I mentioned previously. They are a "items to be installed " on the list along with other engine items . Like I said the sheets varied on how things were grouped from one to the next it seems.  I can't attest to all of the different batches of DSO sheets having them because they seem not to be 100% consistent from one batch to the next plus I haven't seen them all. It probably had to do with different people typing them out or just maybe the same person just didn't think it made a difference.I think Rickstang has a large sampling much larger then I am sure.

Dave M says he has all of the sheets and came back and corrected himself saying that in my DSO group the belt is identified as C7SE-8620-A.

Neither of us can find a cross reference for it and it may just be an engineering number and the belt may bear a different id?

Rich, would you care to join in on this discussion?
