Does anyone have any underneath pics of a 66 Shelby hood? Fiberglass top and steel bottom?

Are there any markings or characteristics I can look for to determine whether one of original or reproduction?

I picked one up today and am trying to identify it correctly.

Thanks
Matt

Can you post pics? Areas near hinge mounts and overall pics of edges and under side of it

Agreed that it's much easier to see what you have and evaluate from there. The details that could be incorrect, altered or remains of past repairs are unlimited and difficult to make a list of.  Kind of like trying to make a list of things you should not find when examining anything.

The better shot of the scoop opening helped me confirm. I have changed my opinion. It is "IMHO" the LATER version hood The difference is the "rounded" sides where the scoop blends into the hood portion , and the edge under the scoop opening. On the early ones like mine , the "corners" form "angles" instead of the rounded corners. Also the "bottom edge" of the hood itself  extends into the scoop area and is "rounded " instead of straight.

Need a pic of scoop opening from the top or bottom?
