I had to look up that word myself.  Socratic method.  I ended up pouring 5 gallons of fresh gas in and will run the motor a bit then top up with another 5 gallons and add a can of Stabil.

Right.  And thanks.  I bought a new bottle to add.  Going to run the gas down again in the driveway and consensus is to add racing gas.  I will have to find some somewhere.  Road Warrior style.
