Put another 200+ miles on it today. Went to the Maryland SAAC show up near the Pennsylvania border, a warm day but nice. Two Blue/White 66's, a Red/White 66, two Black/Gold Hertz cars, a 67 GT500 and a real nice 1969 GT350
Nice selection of cars

The biggest reason for the 2016 win was because Ford created a race car to meet street car rules entered a race car design in a street class (Grand Touring Endurance) made up mainly of Ferrari 488, Aston Martin Vantage, Porsche 911 and Corvettes. PS - It was a class win and 18th overall.

I think I clarified it. I believe LeMans or at least some of the IMSA races were a target from when the engineers pencil first hit the paper.

Yes, true, but it was allowed and winning is winning.  "We read your damned rule book."
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"
