1968 Shelby GT500KR Unrestored/Survivor

Offered For Sale is an Original unrestored 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR, Shelby #2503.  This is an untouched Survivor condition car.

This car was pulled out of long term (parked approximately 1975) storage and is a 2 owner unrestored and unmolested car.  The paint, interior and underside are all original and near perfect.  The only paint work performed was the hood because the original owner painted it satin black to mimic a Boss 302.  The car has never been hit, no accidents and never rusted.  This is a true time capsule.  I installed a new concours date code correct Scott Fuller exhaust system. The car runs, but will need some engine work due to sitting so long.  This car does not need any body work, interior work or paint work.

This car includes:
-Original Candy Apple Red Paint in amazing near perfect condition
-Original Shelby vin tag, door tag, and buck tag
-Original 428 Cobra Jet engine
-Original Holley carb, exhaust manifolds, cast iron intake, heads, air cleaner assembly, radiator and shroud, etc.
-Original Smog equipment
-Original C6 Transmission
-Original 9" rear end w/ tag
-Original black Deluxe Interior w/ console
-Original black carpet
-Original Roll Bar w/ seat belts
-Original Philco AM radio
-Original console gauges and 8,000 RPM tach
-Original chrome and bright work
-Original trunk mat
-Original underside floors with red oxide primer and red overspray
-Original front shocks (original owner replaced rear shocks with non-original air shocks)
-Original, to the car, set of (5) Goodyear E70x15 Polyglas tires, 15x6 Kelsey Hayes steel wheels, and Shelby hubcaps.
-Also include Custom aluminum Shelby wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires purchased in 1972 to replace the original worn tires.
-Original build sheet, window sticker, owners manual, dealer packet, maintenance receipts.
-Original mileage clocked at 55,949

This Shelby is in remarkable original condition and needs minimal work to get ready for SAAC-47.  Remember, "They are only original once".  This Shelby is unique in itself and has never been shown at any car show venues.
