engine hood latch

 GT-350 s/n 1935, SJ build 4/67,SA build 6/67.  Which of the hood latches would it most likely have been installed, long or short?  Hood all glass, no louvers.

Also note correct hood hinge version..

and that late with all glass hood would have the Shelby smaller (diameter) hood springs...

Yes. the stock/standard Ford Mustang hood springs (larger diameter than the Shelby hood springs) were used on the early metal framed with fiberglass top hoods.

To add - the reason is the larger diameter stock springs were needed to hold up the heavier steel inner structure early hood. The small diameter lower tension springs are not adequate to handle the weight and consistently hold the early hood up.
