Come to LA and try to run the gauntlet on a bike. Lots of pedestrians are mugged/killed by the homeless. At work one guy was killed walking to the bus stop a block away. A few have been beaten to death by the homeless with rental scooters.

What about a hand grenade randomly  tossed out the passenger window while stopped for traffic? Hey, I'm just posing a hypothetical and in no way am I endorsing such behaviour. But neither would I condone it. I'm an idea man. Didn't say all my ideas were good.
