Need help with tach identification

I have this Smiths 7000 rpm Tachometer and am curious if it is correct for a 2000 series Cobra. And if it is, any idea on a value? Any insight appreciated!

No, that is not a 2000-series Cobra tach. They did not have the red zone on the face, in my experience.

Had one identical to that in a modified 74 Pantera back in 1984, but not 100% certain my dash gauges were stock.

The Smiths brand street Cobra tachometer was a higher rpm range and mechanically driven by a cable from the Lucas brand generator.

That was the mechanically cable driven off the rear of the Lucas® generator tachometer model that A.C. Cars installed. The electrically operated Ford-Rotunda tachometer with dash hole size reduction adapter was introduced when HP289 engines, Ford voltage regulators, and Ford HP289 generators with machined from bar stock sheaves were introduced and that happened as the new specification in the CSX207x range production wise.

The Smiths tach was driven mechanically by a cable and a gearbox off of the back of the Lucas generator as Dan indicated. Here is what the gearbox looked like....
