Major Mustang vendors like National Parts Depot sell a condensed version of the Mustang specific vacuum schematics.

I am going to assume you have the correct intake fittings, vacuum advance and vacuum tree on the thermostat housing:

Vacuum tree top port to carb is yellow stripe
Vacuum tree center port to distributor vacuum advance is green stripe
Vacuum tree  bottom port to front intake fitting is red stripe

Brake booster, vacuum modulator for trans and tilt steering are off rear intake fitting

Smog anti- backfire canister goes to front intake fitting (I think)
