Been hearing very mixed reviews on the quality of tops out there in the Market, requiring a lot of rework to install. Anyone have first hand experience with a confident supplier? thank you!

It's me, but I'm out of the convertible top business  The company that made the tops to my specs has now been sold twice in the last four years, and the latest owners keep promising me they will make tops, but they don't follow through. Bottom line is this, there are two major companies left that are making convertible tops, Robbins and easy on, and the quality control from both is shaky at best.

here in Germany is a company that still make them as you want them. If someone is interested I can give a contact.

Without pattern specs, bow heights and material specs don't think they can create accurate reproductions Not to mention glass.

I had an Easy On top installed last year on my 69....... By a very well known upholstery shop....

The rear corners by the glass window have slight wrinkles that will not come out......even after leaving car in 98 degree sun several days and having shop redo

To the average guy probably no big deal but this car is not average

Otherwise top is good.....replacing everything including cables, springs etc

No we have a company here which is doing the convertible tops for all mustangs from 65-68 and they do them in different styles. I will check and come back with more infos. I only know that they do them since a long time as the germans didn't want to buy the cheap repros.

That actually has nothing to do with top mfg. it's the hartz material that all mfg are using. They are not making it as previously

Anyone having trouble with the convertible rear split  window seam coming apart from the top?  Our son in Arizona having problem from all the high tempuratures (112-115 degrees).  Expect it all has to be restitched to have it hold.  Checking on shops in Gilbert area. 8)
Just nuts.
