Another inane question that should be self evident, but it's not

Ray Brown lap belts.  The flat clip next to the door with the fastening latch side hooked to the driveshaft tunnel or vice versa?  I have seen it both ways.

I think the latch goes in the center of the car. Easier for right handed driver to fasten it.
