1966 289 K Alternator Belt Sale

Went to order an alternator belt for our 1966

The salesperson advised me that they where on sale.

Went down from $33 each to $14.68

These have the Ford script on them

Sounds good for a repro belt. Original assemblyline belts were not ink stamped but were the raise letter type. For that matter I have not seen a ink stamped belt on any year Shelby from the factory.

$14.68 you can't buy a belt at the auto parts store for that.

The ink stamping on these belts gives them a certain jenesequa

I'm trying to put one of these on our later model Stangs, probably have to cut two and splice them together to make it work.

Well Bob, He does admit to not being very knowledgeable... ::)  at least he has that right  ;)  I mean what could be better than cheap parts?

Looks like the regular 289 alternator belt.  Hipo ones are different.

As Charles mentions, based on the part number, that is definitely an alternator belt for a smaller/standard alternator pulley and not a HiPo.
