Cool that the music is still remembered.  Lalo Schifrin is still alive to this day.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

98SVT - was 06GT

The original - What's amazing is the number of Wrecking Crew members who were there. Studios had their own staff orchestras that did most of the scores. Schifrin must have wanted something special to bring these heavy hitters in. These guys were doing most of the studio work for a big majority of the hit groups in the 60s (not to mention TV themes and commercials). They even created their own music and then formed groups to go out and perform it. It was a big secret until it got out they did the music tracks for the Monkees who sang over the tracks - once the Monkees started to tour they had to do their own music too. There is a good movie on the Wrecking Crew. After you watch it you'll understand why the groups they worked for studio albums are so much better than the live recordings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wrecking_Crew_(2008_film)

That "Lalo" certainly is a killer with that "Bullit"
