Are the interior sections of the side scoops suppose to be painted satin black?

The upper scoops only the front opening, not the rear, so be careful not to get black blowing out the rear of the top/upper scoops.

The lower scoop only has the front.

Dark blue and black cars didn't get this treatment.

To add a little more content, you will want to stuff a rag etc. in the backside of the upper scoop to eliminate overspray from blowing out as JD pointed out while painting the front side opening.

I have seen survivor type cars nightmist blue cars over the years with the scoops painted and others without. The same goes for the pinchweld done on the Ford assemblyline . I have seen some with and others without even though they didn't have to be done. I get the impression that it is not a hard and fast rule and if it got done even though it was not meant to that there was no harm . I have never taken off in concours for dark car painted scoops or not because of my previous observations. The lighter colors of course are expected to be painted.
