I'll rest my case with this - CA is in general a place I would not move to. However since I arrived here in 1952 I've seen the good and the bad. It has become a haven for people who would rather live on a sidewalk with their hand out instead of getting any type of employment. Immigrants are fine. Illegal ones are criminals just based on their crossing the border illegally. CA pretty much started over the cliff with Grey Davis and his energy restrictions to ;imit usage rather than increase production.

The exodus increased in 2021, when more than 360,000 people moved out of California, especially going to states like Texas, Arizona, Washington, Idaho, and ...  Nov 22, 2024 — The Golden State saw nearly 87,000 professionals leave for opportunities elsewhere. Between 2022 and 2023, more than 690,100 people left California, new census data indicates.

Crime increases
Violent crime: Violent crime has increased by nearly 32% over the past 10 years, the highest increase in two decades.
Gun-related crime: Reported cases of aggravated assault with a firearm and robberies with a firearm have doubled in the last 10 years.
Robberies: Robberies have increased steadily over the last 10 years.
Stolen vehicles: Stolen vehicle reports remain high after a significant jump in 2012.

BTW I think you should have used !! after Commiefornia.

I can solve this issue for you, SELL all your cars, then you can buy some cheap car, then move to SanDego simple....You can then go to SAAC events and look at what you used to have, its great, I did that in New York for over 25 years, then when we moved to Tennessee, I bought cars back!!!

Dude,
You live in fantasyland. I was born and raised in L.A. Left that dump of a state, and never looked back.

So much for "Please avoid all the political feedback."

To the OP, you're going to have to lower your expectations. My little 3 bd/2 ba 1200sq ft house w/ a 2-car garage at the south end of LA County is valued at between $900 and $1Mil right now. Houses a few miles away in Norwalk 3bd/1ba w/ a 1-car garage are going for $750-800K. Anything between here and San Diego will be more expensive. Unless you ant to go across the border into Mexico, you'll have to look east to northeast two or three hours from San Diego to find something close to what you want.

To all the California haters out there, all I can say is SHUT UP AND KEEP SUCKIN'.

Fantastic climate with year round car activities.  A former company tried to move me from Las Vegas a number of times, but I couldn't pencil it out.

Hope you find what you're looking for.
