trunk lid lace

Hi---I have several quarter panel extensions for 1969 Shelby fastback and some have back plate black and some are light grey. My  question which one is correct. I think reproduction has 9 rather than 8 diamond pattern mash----thank you

Not light grey    Likely the affects of sun exposure over time

Thank you ---so black is correct----I always thought  car is car--had no idea how much there is to know
