Besides the factory recommended BF32 for a stock 66 289 hipo ?

   I agree with Bob that the "best" plug is the BF32 . These were made by the millions and are usually available. To use something else would depend on your driving needs. A sunny day cruiser "could" be OK with a slightly hotter plug if driven at less than full throttle. And on the other hand driving at full throttle ( like a tack event) would certainly warrant a colder plug than the BF32.
IF you can't find Autolite/Motorcraft plugs , I have had good luck with NGK and not so good luck with Champion ( F9Y)

A basic Autolite 45 is all one needs for any 65-67 289 HiPo engine. It is wide range plug that works well in both the supercharged and N/A HiPo 289's. I used them for 25+ years in the 289 HiPo engines in all types of tune, and usage. Both on and off the track.

No need for the pricier  Autolite 45P and 45PP plugs.

It takes a whole bunch of hard luck for me to not prefer a made in America product.

Having said that, I firmly believe NGK makes the best quality, most reliable plug on the market today.
