Agreed. Also, the cover on the back of the center section looks dome shaped - indicating a 1965 housing. The 66 is more of a half dome. Although I don't know if there might be some overlap between the years on that feature.

        There were some early '66 GT350's that had the '65 style housing. Mine ( 477 ) 476 as well as some others "around there" had the round back '65 housing. This is a VERY few cars and only applies to SAI vehicles with over ride traction bars ONLY. I have never seen a "regular production" '66 K code Mustang with a round back housing in all my years of looking. "Why" they are in some of the SAI cars I can't answer. I don't want speculation , I can do that . My hope is Jeff will "run into" a retired SJ plant worker that could shed some light but that is only a hope at this time.
